I see your points bluebel.

But it is frstrating for fans as well as the board I would imagine to see this daily sniping from the West Ham owners.

We know they have on obsession with being media stars, but why pick on us all the time?
And all this pathetic leaking.
Benitez last week.
Dunford and Hennigan this week.

Easy for them to deny because nobody is quoted, but where or more importantly WHY do these stories start getting circulated?

Prior to that we've had their self congratulating of blues being their team for about a month.

They made a huge mistake sounding off about WHO's debts and possible pay cuts, so all this rubbish might be diversionary.

Whatever the reason, it is our fans who get frustrated. We all want some response.

And what really annoys me is that after week's of silence and stiff upper lips....

ONE board member replies, and he is criticised by people like yourself.
ONE interview to try and balance the multitude we've had from Sullivan, Gold and Brady.

That is crazy. Peter Pannu is blues, and is defending both the board and the club.

And you think that's wrong.

There is more than one way of skinning a cat. The secret, imo, is to skin it your own way, and don't get pulled in to trying to skin it by repeating what your oponent has done. The oponent is well practised in the way they do things, and you are well practised in the way you do things.

To be dragged into (down?) the level of your oponent is exactly what they want and gives them the advantage. By sticking to your own well practised and honed way of doing things, you retain the advantage. I am concerned that Pannu has fallen for the sucker punch and allowed himself to be dragged into a slanging match, which he doesn't need to be, if he has everything he needs to show the world what he believes DS & DG have been up to. By getting involved in a public spat, Pannu is in danger of devaluing the evidence he is about to publicly divulge.

All I'm interested in, is Blues. If PP, CY, DS and DG want to squabble, kill each other or make love to each other, I couldn't give a monkey's, as long as they do it in private.

Perhaps we could arrange an evening of cage fighting; lock all four in a cage until they have all got it out of their system!

It is BLUES we are both concerned about, and it is only BLUES that matters **thumbup

But bluebel....

One response.

One response is not entering a slanging match, nor is it likely to develop into one. David Gold has the opportunity to tell the truth and apologise or face the consequences. Finished.

Forewarning given about future developments. Finished.

Both done in the ONE AND ONLY response to weeks of daily sniping.
Weeks of snide remarks and getting digs in at blues.
This all started within days of them assuming control at the end of January.

In all that time we have remained silent. David Gold seems to have taken that silence for timidity and gone a fib too far.

One response to all of their rubbish is not wrong.
It isn't getting to their level.
It isn't entering a slanging match.

It is giving us all who care about blues a rallying point.

You are an appeaser I take it. :D

Fair enough. But I would have thought that anyone defending blues, from a position of truth, deserves support and encouragement.
Not critcism.

Alfred

I am far from an 'appeaser', but have some experience in dealing with disputes.

Nothing wrong with Pannu responding, and I hope that he would, but, imho, it might have served him, and Blues, much better if the response had been in private. Let the others be mouthy if they want, but imho, it doesn't help a cause to be dragged into a public slanging match.

It's probably all rubbish in the papers anyway, and/or both sides will say they have been misquoted ..zz..

I hate anything that can possibly make Blues appear in a negative light.

Here's to looking forward to two trips to Wembley and beating the v**e in the Final :drink:

Oh happy days, it's a happy day............... :dancer:

Go on lads!! I rate the come back, hes spot on in my eyes and his closing sentance is also accurate, they will turn the Hammers into a souless pit.

lol I will say from our side I dont see what Gold and Sullivan have got against Birmingham just hope they have said thier piece and move on now but we will see, but no matter what West Ham will never be a souless pit we have gone through the Brown era which was terrible then the Icelandics which nearly ruined the club.

Im sure if a Caravan Jockey and a skint egg head biscuit baron couldnt ruin us then im sure a Porno Drawf can't lol why is it we always get weird owners lol

Birmingham snub £500k peace offering from David Sullivan

Hold the Front Page !

Quote:

David Sullivan has offered £500,000 cash to settle his row with Carson Yeung - but Birmingham’s new owner has rejected it.

The new regime were further annoyed to find Sullivan and Gold paid themselves advance 2010 management fees before leaving worth £420,000.

Sullivan, now in charge of West Ham, has offered to repay the money plus interest to end the on-going row.

But City have snubbed the offer and are still investigating ahead of an imminent announcement about the club’s finances.

Somebody is scared.

All this nonsense that Pannu should not have spolen out, and look what happens within 12 hours.

We have people here who support the club now, who don't make cheap jokes about it in newspaper columns and don't rip the club off as they hand over the keys.

More power to our new board.

You're as daft as me being up at this time of the morning
However....
I believe the article you posted is recycled from way back....
Just lazy journalism once more!

I actually agree that Pannu or whoever at Blues should not be speaking out....
There is an old Zen Saying:
Those Who Know Don't Tell....
And Those Who Tell Don't Know!

We should be keeping our own counsel; not playing to the crowds....
If there is something that needs addressing then go through the correct process and the correct channels....
The truth will eventually reveal itself.
Sound bites from whoever are not what I want to hear....
We should be showing more style, more class than that!
By their very nature they demean and degrade the name of Birmingham City Football Club and that saddens me :(

Find this quote very interesting

Pannu said: “I have refrained from using the media further but if they want a war of words to continue, I’m ready to rock and roll.

“The reason we didn’t go to the game is because firstly we had an urgent business trip to attend to and, furthermore, in a short period of time the old management will find themselves in a very, very embarrassing position.

‘‘Everything will soon be in the open as we are wrapping-up on the post-acquisition due diligence and I have no doubt many people will come down from their high horses.”

Can't wait for them to spill the beans on this!!!!

Gold & Sullivan  Posted Image

this is the comment that made me laugh when he said about gold and his age

“I sincerely believe that when people reach a certain age, and when they have made their money, they should retire happily,”
“Their important faculties become affected and sometimes they can’t differentiate between things, they misunderstand or misconstrue. They can become engulfed in unecessary warfare and they might find the kitchen a bit too hot.”

:LMAO: :LMAO:

Being a septuagenarian myself, I object to PP's offensive remarks.

Actually, he's probably right!

Have to admit to being surprised at Pannu's statement.
It's just what DS & DG want, i.e. to bite and show himself up.
If Pannu has all the evidence of financial misdealings etc by the previous incumbents, and is taking them to court, then he (and Carson) will have the last laugh anyway without needing to resort to a public slanging match.

Pannu is considering legal action about Gold's untruth's / lies / deceptions over the role he was offered at blues.

The other item, about finances and dealings - he has made no reference that any court proceedings will follow on that. It may just be a report to the PL.

You have somehow confused the issue there.

I always grew up with the belief that you

STAND UP TO BULLIES.

**thumbup

Apologies if I have got confused. Easily done

Perhaps I have misunderstood Pannu's comments of;
‘‘Everything will soon be in the open as we are wrapping-up on the post-acquisition due diligence and I have no doubt many people will come down from their high horses.”
I thought, by Pannu saying that, he meant; he has all the evidence of financial misdealings etc by the previous incumbents, and is taking them to court. But perhaps it is just the PL he meant. Either way, if Pannu does have all the stuff, there's no need to get involved in a public spat, when he will have the last laugh anyway. That's what's really confusing me; why the need to get dragged into public spat and show himself up, which is just what DS & DG want?

I notice that Pannu is considering legal action about Gold's untruth's/lies/deceptions over the role he was offered at Blues, but his response is a bit near the line if he is thinking of suing Gold - he could, if what has been printed is accurate (and who really knows how accurate any newspaper report actually is?), be open to being sued by Gold!

If they all (both sides) continue like this then in all probability the PL will get involved anyway and charge both clubs for bringing the game into disrepute, which can't be good for Blues.

In football, as in life, the biggest punishment goes to the one that retaliates, not the instigator, and that would not be good for Blues, with Pannu probably being regarded as the retaliator :(

If Blues (Pannu/Carson) have evidence against DS & DG then great, put it to the relevant authorities and let them deal with it. We don't need to be dragged into any more public c rap. Both sides need to grow up. These are football clubs we are talking about, and should not be about PP, CY, DS and DG. I just wish they would all grow and get on with where they all are now. Life's too short. Blues are aiming for the FA Cup and West Ham are fighting relegation - that should be enough for both parties to concentrate on in their own backyards.

I agree, you should stand up to bullies, but there are ways of doing it without having to resort to playground behaviour. Get the evidence, present the evidence to relevant authorities, then you have stood up to the bullies in a open and long lasting way. Throwing accusations through statements to the press is just pathetic by both sides imo.

Bluebel, do you have anything positive to say about the new board? I've noticed in a few threads, r u a big fan of the old pair Gold and Sully? I see you are so quick to criticize the new board. I also noticed in another thread that you were arguing with hootie and a few others about the board, and you were not happy with some of their responses, branded them as personal attacks( :LMAO: ) You might see my post as a personal attack as well, Don't bother reply even if you have a problem with my post, as you say : there's no need to get involved in a public spat, Get the evidence, present the evidence to relevant authorities, then you have stood up to the bullies in a open and long lasting way.
